    Delhi’s Arjun Singh shot the day’s best score in the fourth round of the Final Qualifying Stage, a determined two-under-70, to emerge the winner at the PGTI’s Qualifying School for the 2020 season held at the Kensville Golf & Country Club near Ahmedabad.

     

    The 50-year-old Arjun (75-72-73-70), a winner of 14 titles on the Indian professional circuit and one of the senior-most players in the field this week, sat atop the leaderboard at the end of the last round with a total of two-over-290.

    Deepinder Singh Kullar maintains two-shot lead in round three of Final Qualifying Stage

    Gurugram’s Deepinder Singh Kullar maintained his two-shot lead in round three of the PGTI’s Final Qualifying Stage for the 2020 season being held at the Kensville Golf & Country Club near Ahmedabad.

     

    The 38-year-old Deepinder (71-73-74), the overnight leader by two shots, continued at the top for the second day in succession after recording a score of two-over-74 on Thursday that moved his total to two-over-218.

    Eighty players make the halfway cut

    Lucknow’s Vijay Kumar and Deepinder Singh Kullar of the DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurugram, surged ahead by two shots in round two of the PGTI’s Final Qualifying Stage for the 2020 season being held at the Kensville Golf & Country Club near Ahmedabad.

    The seasoned 51-year-old Vijay (72-72), a former Indian Open champion, along with 38-year-old Deepinder (71-73), were tied for the lead with identical totals of even-par-144.

    Ten players were bunched together in tied third at two-over-146 including round one joint leaders Kartik Sharma (76) of Gurugram and Delhi’s Pawan Verma (76).

    Amateur Kartik Sharma of the DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurugram and Delhi’s Pawan Verma took the joint first round lead at the PGTI’s Final Qualifying Stage for the 2020 season as both golfers shot scores of two-under-70.

    While 19-year-old Kartik, one of India’s leading amateurs in recent years, drained five birdies in exchange for three bogeys, Pawan Verma, the 2018 Feeder Tour Order of Merit champion, picked up seven birdies at the cost of five bogeys at the Kensville Golf & Country Club near Ahmedabad.
