  Kochhar wreaks havoc with final round eight-under-62 to win by three

  The final day of the PGTI Players Championship presented by Tollygunge Club turned out to be one of the most memorable days in 17-year-old amateur Karandeep Kochhar’s fledgling golfing career. The Chandigarh lad wreaked havoc on the final day, shooting an eight-under-62, the best round of the tournament, to upset some of the top professionals in the country en route his three-shot triumph at the Rs. 30 lakh event.

  Digvijay Singh the clubhouse leader on rain-marred day

  Gurgaon-based Digvijay Singh’s three-under-67, his second straight bogey-free round, gave him a two-shot clubhouse lead at 10-under-130 on the rain-marred second day of the PGTI Players Championship presented by Tollygunge Club.

  Panchkula’s Shubhankar Sharma and Digvijay Singh of Gurgaon got off to flying starts with scores of seven-under-63 in round one of the PGTI Players Championship presented by Tollygunge Club. The duo thus ended day one three shots ahead of the rest.
