    Veer Ahlawat continues fine form with victory at Nissan presents Delhi-NCR Open 2024, extends lead in TATA Steel PGTI Ranking

    Gurugram’s Veer Ahlawat continued his fine form with a flawless last round of six-under 66 to march to a one-shot victory at the INR 1 crore Nissan presents Delhi-NCR Open 2024 played at the Noida Golf Course.

    Veer (68-67-70-66), fresh from his joint runner-up finish at the Indian Open two weeks back, totaled 17-under 271 to take home his third professional trophy and the winning cheque worth INR 15 lakh. The tall and lanky golfer from the DLF Golf & Country Club thus further extended his lead in the TATA Steel PGTI Ranking as his earnings moved to INR 86,82,267. Twenty-eight-year-old Ahlawat now enjoys a lead of more than INR 38 lakh over nearest rival Manu Gandas.

    Manu Gandas shines on ‘moving day’ to grab sole lead

    Gurugram-based Manu Gandas shot the day’s best score of six-under 66 to grab the sole lead at a total of 13-under 203 after round three of the INR 1 crore Nissan presents Delhi-NCR Open 2024 being played at the Noida Golf Course.

    Manu Gandas (68-69-66), the winner of the 2022 edition of the event, enjoyed an error-free day as he moved up three spots from his overnight fourth position.

    Mysuru’s Yashas Chandra (71-64-69), one of the three overnight leaders, fired a 69 to end the day in second position at 12-under 204.

    Yashas Chandra fires day’s best 64 to move into joint lead along with Veer Ahlawat and Angad Cheema

    Mysuru’s Yashas Chandra fired an eight-under 64, the week’s best score so far, to move into the joint lead at the halfway stage along with Gurugram’s Veer Ahlawat and Angad Cheema of Chandigarh, both of whom returned scores of 67.

    The leading trio of Yashas (71-64), Veer (68-67) and Angad (68-67) had totals of nine-under 135 after round two of the INR 1 crore Nissan presents Delhi-NCR Open 2024 being played at the Noida Golf Course.

    Nissan Motor India presents Delhi-NCR Open 2024 gets underway at Noida Golf Course from April 10

    Nissan Motor India and the TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) announced the ‘Nissan presents Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship 2024’ which will be staged at the Noida Golf Course from April 10 – 13, 2024. The Pro-Am event will be staged on April 9. The tournament carries a prize purse of INR 1 crore.

    The tournament, in its sixth edition, will feature some of the top Indian professionals such as 2024 Indian Open runner-up Veer Ahlawat, SSP Chawrasia, Ajeetesh Sandhu, former champion Manu Gandas, Rashid Khan, Aman Raj and defending champion Gaurav Pratap Singh, as well as other former champions Udayan Mane and Honey Baisoya.
