    Reigning Rolex Ranking champion Chikkarangappa S survived a late surge from fellow Bengalurean Rahil Gangjee before prevailing in a close contest at the inaugural TAKE Open Golf Championship at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course. Chikka ended the Rs. 1 crore PGTI event with a persistent final round of one-under-71 that took his tournament tally to 13-under-275.

    Rahil Gangjee, tied for the lead till the 16th hole, finished a creditable second at 12-under-276 courtesy his final round of four-under-68.

    Inaugural TAKE Open Golf Championship to begin from October 19th

    The inaugural TAKE Open Golf Championship, a new PGTI event, will kick-start at the Karnataka Golf Association in Bengaluru from October 19th - 22nd. The first edition of the TAKE Open will offer a total prize purse of Rs. 1 crore and will be the third biggest tournament on the PGTI in terms of prize money, after the McLeod Russel which carries Rs.1.5 crore of prize money and the Louis Philippe Cup (Rs. 1.2 crore).
