    The Pro-Am event of the CG Open 2013 was won by professional Vikrant Chopra and his team at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club on Sunday.

    The Pro-Am was played in the team scramble format where the team’s best ball was chosen on every shot including the putting green. After the best ball was chosen all other players were to place their ball within one Score Card length before continuing play.

    Chikkarangappa edges out Rashid Khan in playoff to win maiden title

    Rookie Chikkarangappa S of Bangalore upstaged pre-tournament favourite Rashid Khan of Delhi in a playoff to bag his maiden professional title at the CG Open 2013 played at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club in Mumbai.

    It turned out to be a day of twists and turns. Rashid Khan (64-64-66-70) maintained his overnight three-shot lead till the eighth hole as both he and Chikkarangappa (64-65-68-67) made two birdies and a bogey each on the first eight holes.     Delhi’s Rashid Khan returned a four-under-66 to move into a three-stroke lead in round three of the CG Open 2013 being played at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club in Mumbai.
