Gangjee tied 11th in Taipei, four off the lead
Bhullar fires even-par-70 at KLM Open
Rahil Gangjee shot a two-under-70 to be tied 11th in round one of the Asian Tour’s Yeangder Tournament Players Championship in Taipei. Gangjee, the best placed Indian in the field, made three birdies and a bogey on Thursday. He was four shots behind the leader Elmer Salvador of the Philippines.
Rashid Khan was in joint 21st after a round of 71. Chiragh Kumar was a further shot back in tied 35th place. Jyoti Randhawa and Anirban Lahiri were bunched together at tied 52nd after matching scores of 73.
Himmat Singh Rai (77) and Sujjan Singh (78) occupied tied 123rd and tied 128th places respectively.
At the European Tour’s KLM Open being played at Zandvoort, The Netherlands, Gaganjeet Bhullar was the only Indian to complete his first round on a day of truncated action. Bhullar shot an even-par-70 to be tied 44th. Jeev Milkha Singh was two-over through 17 and Shiv Kapur was three-over through 13 holes.
