Chowrasia enjoys good start in Denmark
SSP Chowrasia fired a one-under-70 in the first round of the European Tour's Made in Denmark tournament to be placed tied fifth. Chowrasia trailed the joint leaders, Chilean Felipe Aguilar, Dane Thomas Bjorn and Welshman Bradley Dredge, by four shots at the end of round one.
Gaganjeet Bhullar, Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur, the other three Indians in the fray, shot matching scores of two-over-73 to be placed tied 43rd.
Elsewhere, at the Fiji International, a PGA Tour of Australasia event, Anirban Lahiri was in tied 68th position after an opening round of two-over-74. He was six strokes off the lead.
