Yuvraj Sandhu placed tied ninth after round three of Turkish Airlines Open
Yuvraj Sandhu (69-71-71) was placed tied ninth, two shots off the lead, after round three of the DP World Tour's Turkish Airlines Open being played in Antalya.
Yuvraj, playing his first full season on the DP World Tour this year as a result of winning the 2025 DP World PGTI Order of Merit, followed up his impressive opening round of three-under 69, with steady scores of one-under 71 over the next two rounds to take his tournament total to five-under 211.
The 29-year-old Sandhu, a seven-time winner on the DP World PGTI last season, was placed just two shots behind joint leaders Mikael Lindberg of Sweden and Daniel Rodrigues of Portugal.
Shubhankar Sharma (70-75-74), the other Indian in the field, was placed tied 71st at three-over 219 following his third round of 74 at the National Golf Club in Belek, Antalya.
Yuvraj, who was tied seventh at the halfway stage, collected birdies on the seventh and ninth holes on day three after landing his approach shots within seven feet and four feet respectively.
Sandhu dropped a couple of bogeys on the 15th and 18th but the highlight of his round was the birdie on the 17th where his outstanding approach shot from 125 yards landed just one foot from the pin.
