Karandeep Kochhar's third round 66 places him tied second, three off the lead, at the International Series Thailand
Karandeep Kochhar (65-68-66) kept himself in the hunt for his maiden Asian Tour title after his third round of six-under 66 placed him tied second at a total of 17-under 199 at the International Series Thailand.
Karandeep, who made eight birdies and two bogeys in round three, was placed three shots behind the leader Phachara Khongwatmai of Thailand at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin.
Kochhar, lying overnight tied 10th, enjoyed a great start to the day making birdies on his first four holes.
Karandeep, who got a late entry into the event, shared the second spot with four others - Poosit Supupramai, Itthipat Buranatanyarat, Sihwan Kim and Doyeob Mun.
The next best Indian was Honey Baisoya in tied 24th at 13-under 203.
Elsewhere, at the DP World Tour's Magical Kenya Open, Shubhankar Sharma (65-67-75), the halfway leader, slipped to tied 17th after returning a four-over 75 in round three. Shubhankar's total of six-under 207 placed him eight shots behind the leader Ewen Ferguson of Scotland.
