Eleven Indians make the cut after round two of Asian Tour Q School Final Stage, Viraj Madappa best placed Indian in tied 26th

At the end of round two of the Asian Tour’s Qualifying School Final Stage in Thailand, 11 out of the total 14 Indians made the 36-hole cut which was set at four-over-146.

Among the 243 players in the field, a total of 153 made the 36-hole cut. The second round lead was shared by Korea’s Minkyu Kim and Australian Steven Jeffress at six-under-136. 
 
Viraj Madappa (73-67) produced a second round of four-under-67 that pushed him up 77 places to tied 26th at two-under-140. He was the highest placed Indian after round two.

Himmat Rai, Angad Cheema and Veer Ahlawat were all in tied 62nd at even-par-142.

M Dharma, Divyanshu Bajaj and Deepinder Singh Kullar were a further shot back in tied 77th.

Rahul Bajaj, the joint first round leader, slipped to tied 95th place at two-over-144. 

The last three Indians to make the cut were, Karandeep Kochhar and Samarth Dwivedi, both tied 118th at three-over-145, and Honey Baisoya who was tied 138th at four-over-146.
 
After 72 holes, the field will be further cut to the leading 70 players and ties who will then proceed to the fifth and final round held only at the Rayong Green Valley Country Club. At the conclusion of 90 holes, the top 35 players and ties will be ranked accordingly for the 2018 season.
