CG and PGTI announce CG Open 2017
• Prize purse of Rs. 1 crore
• Line-up includes Rashid Khan, Chikkarangappa, Chiragh Kumar, Khalin Joshi, Udayan Mane, Shamim Khan
Avantha Group Company CG and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) today announced the schedule for CG Open 2017. The 10th edition of the CG Open will be played at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC), Mumbai, from December 6th to 9th, 2017.
The field is set to feature some of India’s top professionals such as Rashid Khan, Chikkarangappa (2013 & 2014 champion), Chiragh Kumar, Khalin Joshi, PGTI Order of Merit leader Udayan Mane, defending champion Shamim Khan, Shankar Das, Honey Baisoya and Mukesh Kumar, to name a few.
Besides Chikka and Shamim, the other former CG Open champions competing this year include Ashok Kumar (2015 champion), Harendra Gupta (2012 champion) and Australian Kunal Bhasin (2009 champion).
The prominent foreign players in the field besides the Mumbai-based Kunal Bhasin are, Sri Lankans Mithun Perera, Anura Rohana, N Thangaraja and K Prabagaran, Bangladesh's Md Zamal Hossain Mollah, South African Damian Naicker and Swaziland’s Arthur Horne.
The three prominent Mumbai players in the field are Anil Bajrang Mane, Wilson Raj D’Mello and Akash Modi.

Founded in 1927, the Bombay Presidency Golf Club is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the country. The course at the BPGC underwent extensive redesign and modifications in 2009. The BPGC has a very demanding course with a large golf-focused member community.
