US dominates Day 2 of Presidents Cup, leads 8 - 2

Lahiri & Schwartzel lose their fourball match

The US Team dominated day 2 of the Presidents Cup winning four of the five fourball matches against the International Team. The two teams halved the fifth match.

The scoreline thus read 8 - 2 in favour of the Americans after the second day of competition.

Anirban Lahiri played his first match of the event when he paired up with South African Charl Schwartzel to take on Charley Hoffman and Kevin Chappell. The Americans prevailed with the day's biggest margin of victory of 6 & 5.

In other matches, there were convincing wins of 3 & 2 for Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler over Branden Grace and Louis Oosthuizen and for Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson over Jhonattan Vegas and Adam Scott.

Kevin Kisner and Phil Mickelson came up trumps against Marc Leishman and Jason Day with a 1 UP margin.

The International pairing of Adam Hadwin and Hideki Matsuyama managed to extract half a point from the day after they halved their match against Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth.
