Shubhankar Sharma clinches tied ninth at Myanmar Open
India's Shubhankar Sharma continued his hot streak on the Asian Tour as he followed up his tied 11th place at the season-opener Singapore Open last week with an even more impressive tied ninth finish at this week's Leopalace21 Myanmar Open.
Shubhankar, who totaled eight-under-276 at the US$ 750,000 event, emerged as the top finisher among the Indians for the second straight week on the Asian Tour.
The 20-year-old shot four sub-par rounds of 70, 68, 69 and 69 to end up six shots behind the eventual champion Todd Sinnott of Australia at the event co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour.
Shiv Kapur claimed tied 34th place at two-under-282 while Rahil Gangjee was a further shot back in tied 43rd.
Jyoti Randhawa finished tied 70th at six-over-290.
