Tournament Pro-Am will be played on 15th October 2016.
Express Exclusive presents Chennai Open Golf Championshipin association with Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) who will organize the tournament in a biggerway. Top names in the field include Udayan Mane, Shamim Khan, Mukesh Kumar, C Muniyappa, M Dharma, Feroz Ali Mollah and Digvijay Singh, to name a few. Top ranked players from across the country will participate in this tournament. A 72 hole stroke play which will be played at Golf Annexe, Gymkhana Club, Guindy from 11th to 14th October, 2016. The total prize value of this tournament is Rupees 40 Lacs, the highest-ever for a golf event in Chennai. Chennai-based professional Sandeep Syal will be leading the local challenge. The field features four amateur golfers from Chennai including Arun Murugappan, Darshan Veeraraghavan, Hari and Shivnarain Srinivasan. K Surya Kumar is the lone amateur from Coimbatore.
Results will be announced by the end of the day on all the four days of the tournament. More than 100 players from all the parts of the country will be playing in this tournament. Prize winners are categorized as Winner and runner up. The tournament will be telecasted in the Ten Golf channel. Celebrities and Stalwarts from various disciplines will be present over there and encourage the players.
Tournament Pro-Am will be played on 15th October 2016 which will start at 07 am from all Tees. Championship of this tournament is exclusive for professionals. Amateurs can play along with professionals on 15th October 2016. The Prize presentation ceremony will be held at the poolside Crowne Plaza, Adyar soon after the last card has been submitted.
