PGTI Eagleburg Masters to get underway on September 6

 Prize purse of Rs. 30 lakh

 Chikkarangappa, Rashid Khan, Rahil Gangjee, Shubhankar Sharma, Khalin Joshi, Udayan Mane, top names in the field

The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) will stage the ninth event of its landmark 10th season, the PGTI Eagleburg Masters at Eagleton – The Golf Resort near Bengaluru, from September 6 - 9, 2016. The tournament carries a prize purse of Rs. 30 lakh.

The field will feature India’s leading talent such as local lads Chikkarangappa (2015 Rolex Ranking champion), Udayan Mane (2015 PGTI Emerging Player), Khalin Joshi as well as defending champion Rashid Khan of Delhi and Gurgaon-based Shubhankar Sharma (current Rolex Ranking leader).

The other top names in the field are Rahil Gangjee, Mukesh Kumar, Shankar Das, Shamim Khan, Feroz Ali Mollah and Harendra Gupta, to name a few. 

Bengaluru will be well-represented by M Dharma, C Muniyappa, Abhishek Jha, R Murthy and Trishul Chinnappa besides the likes of Chikka, Mane and Joshi.

The field will also feature prominent foreign names such as N Thangaraja, Anura Rohana (both from Sri Lanka) and Md Zamal Hossain Mollah (Bangladesh).

The venue for the event, Eagleton - The Golf Resort, situated on the Bangalore-Mysore highway, is home to a USPGA standard course. This picturesque course is spread out over 170 acres and has undulating fairways and huge greens with an excellent drainage system. Over 40,000 trees, lush turf and sophisticated fertilization, irrigation and waste water management contribute to a natural and pleasing biosphere.
