    Rookie Aman Raj makes a statement with a sparkling 65 in round one

    Rookie Aman Raj of Patna made a statement on the opening day of the PGTI Players Championship at the Classic Golf & Country Club with a sparkling seven-under-65 that gave him the first round lead.   

    The Chandigarh duo of Abhijit Singh Chadha and Sujjan Singh were one off the lead, thanks to equally impressive scores of 66.

    Siddikur puts Bangladesh Golf on Olympic map

    Bangladeshi golfer and Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) member Siddikur Rahman has his mother to thank for making him work as a ball boy over 20 years ago, a move which has now earned him Olympic Games fame.

    The 31-year-old double Asian Tour winner became the first sportsman from his country to qualify for the Olympics on merit, an achievement which saw him become the Bangladesh contingent’s flagbearer in the opening ceremony in Rio de Janeiro last weekend.
