    Udayan Mane and Miguel Carballo share round one honours at Louis Philippe Cup

    India’s Udayan Mane and former PGA Tour player Miguel Carballo of Argentina, shared top honours with identical rounds of 63 (7-under par), at the end of round one of the inaugural Louis Philippe Cup 2018, a USD 75000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) and Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) co-sanctioned event, which got underway in Bengaluru’s Prestige Golfshire Club course on Tuesday. 

    In overcast and windy conditions interrupted by light drizzles, the Ahmedabad-based Mane, a regular winner on the PGTI tour over the last couple of years, executed a stellar bogey free round sinking seven birdies on the second, fourth, seventh, ninth, 11th, 12thand 13thholes respectively. Argentine Carballo on the other hand, sank eight birdies on the day but his sole bogey on the tricky hole 16, meant he lost the chance to take an outright lead

    Joshi aims for redemption at TAKE Solutions Masters

    India’s rising star Khalin Joshi is determined to win his first Asian Tour title on home soil when he contends at the US$350,000 TAKE Solutions Masters next month. 

    Joshi, a TAKE Solutions ambassador, has unfinished business in the event after being pipped to the title by a resilient PoomSaksansin of Thailand at the Karnataka Golf Association Golf Course last year.

    Shiv Kapur secures joint runner-up place at Royal Cup

    Shiv Kapur of India missed out on a second straight title at the Royal Cup as he battled to a one-over-71 on the final day to take a share of second place at eight-under-272.
     
    Kapur (66-68-67-71), lying overnight lone second and trailing South African Justin Harding by two shots, eventually finished six shots behind the latter who had won his first title in Asia just weeks back at the Indonesia Open.

    Shiv Kapur begins title defence at Royal Cup with a four-under-66 to be tied fifth

    Shiv Kapur began his title defence at the Royal Cup on a positive note as he mixed six birdies with two bogeys in the opening round to be placed tied fifth at four-under-66.

    Kapur, who won three titles in Asia last year including the Royal Cup, trailed the leader Raththee Sirithanakunsak of Thailand by three shots.
